An agreement was signed between the Department of Agriculture (DoA) under the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MoAL) and Farm Machinery Corporation Limited (FMCL) for the transfer of land and property ownership to FMCL on 17th April, 2025. The formal handover to FMCL took place in 2022, covering multiple locations:
Agriculture Machinery Centers: Khangma, Trashigang, and Chungdudingkha, Paro
Central Machinery Units: Khangma, Trashigang; Chhoekhor, Bumthang; and Samtenling, Sarpang
Additionally, in 2017, the DoA transferred operations of Bondey, Paro to FMCL, though ownership remained under DoA.
